Helensburgh has always been famous for its excellent ice-cream and the finest fish-and-chips.

Thanks to the vision and investment of local entrepreneurs the town now has a richly deserved reputation for a fine range of quality restaurants, cafes and food providers.

Many have won national awards for the excellence of their food.

This year the Taste of Helensburgh Food Week will have a spectacular start on Saturday 3rd November by coinciding with the Annual Firework Display organised by the Round Table. It will end on Armistice Day on Sunday 11th November, the 100th Anniversary of the end of the First World War, with a family and forces event in the Square in support of the Poppy Appeal.

We are currently signing up Restaurants, Coffee Shops and Cafes to support Food Week with special menus, offers and entertainment.

Each will lay on something special over the 8 days of the Festival such as :

  • Special Festival Menus and offers
  • Signature Dishes
  • Cooking Demonstrations
  • And more besides.
What makes this Festival special is that it is local. Everything happens within our restaurants and cafes benefiting the local economy and the town’s appeal to visitors.
